17 seedlings 'peeping' from the earth, nurtured lovingly by Himani.   And what are they? ... Chilli of course!

Nelson Associates gathered at our Convent for Evening Prayer.   June talked of religious life for her over 50 years, followed by a cuppa and some of her delicious piklets.

We celebrated the Holy Week Triduum with the Parish including the Way of the Cross, walking from Tahunanui Beach to the Nelson Cathedral Steps.

Catherine and Monica visited Christchurch to see relations.

On their return Monica received news of her sister Sadie's death.

A time to grieve - but also a time to celebrate a Faith-filled life dedicated to her family.

Aung San Su Ky's 61st birthday and we were invited to attend a small celebration in her honour.

A growing Burmese community here.   Preserving their culture but not in an exclusive way.

Srs Monica and Himani went to Hamilton for the Provincial Gathering.   An uplifting time for all 70 sisters who atended.   Major issues covered were Leadership and the Prophetic Role  of Women in the Church of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

Friday we attended Mass at Garin Chapel, celebrated by Cardinal Philippe Barbaran, Archbishop of Lyons.   His visist is part of the pilgrimage of more thanm 30 people following in the footsteps of Mother Aubert and Bishop[ Pompallier.    Both of whom knew our Foundress.   Further to the French Connection, our first four RNDM's to Nelson came from the diocese of Lyons in 1871.

June Walsh entertained 28 little visitors from the local Catholic School, St Josephs.   Bright and bubbly they were an absolute delight.
